Filler Materials
JUVÉDERM® Ultra XC and JUVÉDERM® Ultra Plus XC Chicago
How it's done
The new JUVÉDERM® XC now contains a anaesthetic called lidocaine so that it is almost painless. It is also now available in a smaller less expensive size. JUVÉDERM® Ultra XC is used more superficially while JUVÉDERM® Ultra Plus XC is used in deep folds.
JUVÉDERM® XC is a smooth gel made from hyaluronic acid that restores depleted volume to the skin and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. JUVÉDERM® XC differs from other hyaluronic acid fillers as it has a smooth consistency rather than granular, allowing for easy injections and instant results when treating the nasolabial folds and other facial wrinkles. This contains an aesthetic making it virtually painless.
Results you can expect
The results of JUVÉDERM® XC injections are visible immediately, although patients may experience mild redness and swelling for the first hours. Patients can enjoy a smoother, more youthful appearance with a reduced appearance of lines and wrinkles across the face.
Timing
A JUVÉDERM® XC injection takes about 15 minutes to perform. Most patients achieve their desired results in just one procedure, but may undergo touch-up treatments in order to maintain their results, as JUVÉDERM® XC injections are effective in smoothing lines and wrinkles for up to one year.

Restylane® Chicago
How it's done
Restylane® is a clear, transparent gel composed of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance found throughout the body. Hyaluronic acid gives volume to your skin and can restore the depleted natural substances in the skin that cause loose, sagging skin as we age. This safe substance is injected under the skin to restore volume and fill in lines and deep wrinkles.
Results you can expect
The results of the Restylane® injection are visible immediately, and will continue to improve for up to a week after the injection when full results are visible. With its unique ability to bind with water, Restylane is able to perform for many months in your skin, due to its unique ability to bind with water. This quality provides effective results for the glabellar lines, nasolabial folds and other areas of the face.
Timing
Restylane® treatment sessions take less than 30 minutes to perform, and most patients can achieve their desired results after just one session. Many patients choose to repeat the procedure a year after their initial treatment in order to maintain the results of Restylane®.

Perlane® Chicago
How it's done
Perlane® is an injectable dermal filler used in cosmetic procedures to soften wrinkles and reduce lines and other depressions of the skin. Perlane® is made from natural hyaluronic acid, one of the most popular types of dermal fillers available today. It is part of the Restylane® family, but contains larger gel particles to treat deeper facial depressions.
Results you can expect
Perlane® is most effective in improving the appearance of the nasolabial folds, as well as crow's feet, worry lines, frown lines and smile lines. The results of a Perlane® injection are visible immediately after the injection, and may be accompanied by temporary redness or swelling.
Timing
Most Perlane® injections can be administered in 30-45 minutes, with results lasting six to eight months. Some patients may choose to undergo additional procedures after this time in order to maintain the results.
